Even though this happened in 2010, author Paula Young Shelton reads to children of the Apple Tree Early Learning Public School's Riverside Campus her book called Children of the Civil Rights Movement. I found this interesting because children were actually learning about children of the civil rights movement standing up for what they believed in. They were not just learning about Martin Luther King.
